We’ve been doing some thinking about what it means to be a member at Native Space — and made some changes that we are excited to share. From today, our Virtual Membership will now be known as our Community Membership, and the rebrand is not just a name change. The package has been rebuilt around what independent professionals in Peterborough are actually asking for: a professional address, wellness access, workspace credits, and a reason to show up in person without paying full hot-desk prices. At £85+VAT/month, it’s worth understanding exactly what you’re getting.
“Virtual” membership was always a slightly misleading label. The old framing implied you were mostly getting a mailing address and occasional access — the bare minimum for sole traders who needed a professional postcode but didn’t want to commit to a desk.
The ‘community’ refresh signals something different — you are no longer a peripheral member of Native Space, but a central part of the community, and we wanted to offer these members more to showcase that. You’re not just getting an address; you’re getting a way to belong to something bigger than a desk — the people, the perks and the programmes that make the space worth coming back to. Industry data backs this up: around 70% of coworking members now prioritise collaboration-friendly spaces over private offices. The demand isn’t for a room — it’s for infrastructure.
