Why 'Community' Isn't Just a Buzzword at Native Space

The word community gets thrown around a lot, especially in shared workspaces and co-working environments. While it might sound like a trendy buzzword, at Native Space, it really is much more than that.

The Native Space Community

The co-warehousing concept and Native Space could, in fact, run perfectly smoothly without the community aspect.

Think about it: there are personal workspaces, storage, private offices, and fulfilment services, with the technology to manage it all without needing to speak to a single person, if you wished.

That might be right up your street, and that’s ok! But for those looking for more, we wanted to make sure we are offering something other than just square footage.

Socialisation and community is something hard to come-by for most home businesses or remote workers and we knew this had to be a big part of Native Space.

How do we plan on incorporating community into Native Space?

Dedicated Social Space

First and foremost, a non-negotiable for us was a social space within our co-warehousing space.

Whilst there is no getting away from the fact that the whole concept revolves around individual and private workspaces, we wanted to ensure there is an inviting space for members to take a break, grab a coffee and connect with one another.

Native Space will also bring in a variety of local food vendors, encouraging members to enjoy a lunch break together.

Member and Networking Events at Native Space

Along with organised lunch days, we will also be hosting several other events for members, from business support and health and wellness to events dedicated to showing our appreciation to our members.

Furthermore, open to the wider business community we will host networking events, giving our members opportunities to meet and connect with other local businesses.

Collaboration Opportunities

A shared workspace brings together diverse businesses under one roof, creating countless opportunities for collaboration and mutual support.

By sharing your own knowledge and strengths, you can help others while benefiting from their expertise. Networking further amplifies these opportunities, and with our on-site meeting and Native Space Studio, you have dedicated spaces to brainstorm and work together, all set and ready for you.

Business Support

Through our business orientated events, internal collaborations, and handy facilities to streamline your operations, members find themselves surrounded by a hub of business support.

Beyond supporting businesses within our co-warehousing space, Native Space offers a Business Growth Platform that connects you with trusted professionals providing first class services across various sectors.

Whether you need a helping hand with social media and marketing, employment law, or business insurance, our platform simplifies the process of finding reliable support, taking the hassle out of locating a provider you can trust.

Virtual Memberships

Our virtual memberships make all of the above even more accessible.

Even if you’re not in need of a permanent workspace yet, virtual members are welcome anytime to our social space, networking and other events, and can access our facilities like our meeting space and Native Space Studio.

Interacting with the wider community

While we work hard to foster a vibrant community within Native Space, it’s important to us that we also immerse ourselves within the wider community.

So far, we have been exploring several local networking events, compiling a list of our favourites to share with our members, spreading the word about Native Space and discovering aspects of each event that we believe are essential to incorporate into our own networking events.

Native Space is also sponsoring the city’s football team, Peterborough United, and are on a mission to engage ourselves with local charities. This is something we would love to do with our members and further inhibit that sense of community.
